SPOTLIGHT ON STUDENTS

Through our Spotlight on Students initiative, Whitley’s Thrift Market uses a portion of sales to support local college students as they pursue their education and experiences beyond the classroom. From helping cover the cost of textbooks, to awarding funds toward study abroad opportunities, to surprising students with gift cards for their favorite campus spots, we’re dedicated to lightening the load so they can focus on their future.

Each purchase makes these moments of support possible.

As a part of our WTM Gives Back program, we aimed to support travel for one out-of-state student at Spelman College via our ‘Spotlight on Students’ initiative. However, due to the 2025 Government Shutdown, air traffic has been limited, resulting in unexpected travel delays.

With these changes, we will be canceling sponsored travel and instead offering three $50 Ulta Beauty gift cards to students at Spelman College.

Ulta Beauty has maintained its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion amid our current sociopolitical climate – they continue to celebrate the beauty of our Black community. We encourage all Spelmanites to enter our giveaway; you just might be one of three lucky recipients!

Criteria:

• Must be currently enrolled full-time at Spelman College.

• Only one submission per student will be accepted.

• Submissions must be completed by November 22, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST.

Important Notes:

• Three students will each receive a $50 Ulta Beauty gift card.

• Names will be drawn, and winners will be notified on November 23rd. Gift cards will be sent directly via email.
